The first Jersey red wine in a commercial quantity was the 2003 release of our Pinot Noir / Regent / Rondo blend named Bailiwick. It was the result of several years of planning, planting and patience, and when the first crop was harvested from the young vineyard we were delighted to have managed to get a full bodied, rich, flavourful red first go! Released to coincide with the Jersey 1204 - 2004 celebrations, the wine flew off the shelves.

Fortunately we were able to repeat the success of the first vintage with the 2004 crop and this current release is again selling out rapidly!

Bailiwick

The 2004 vintage's label marks the 60th anniversery of Jersey's liberation from German forces in World War II, and is part of Jersey's year long celebrations.

The wine is a medium/full bodied red, with incredible colour intensity. The aromas of sloes, black cherries and a hint of vanilla from the oak barrel maturation delivers a spicy complex palate, rich with red fruits and soft tannins that linger on the tongue.

Excellent when matched with red meat dishes, Barbequed foods or rich vegetarian dishes.
