La Mare benefits from Jersey's long summer sunshine (the sunniest place in the British Isles!) to ripen the grapes fully for good mouth filling ripe fruity wines.
Domaine
The drier of the two whites, Domaine is made with the varieties Seyval Blanc and Phoenix. Oak barrique fermentation, softened and enriched with lees stirring over several months of maturation leaves a pleasing rounded vanilla oak character that provides a complexity to the grapefruit, lime and elderflower notes on the palate. The wine has excellent balance, dry yet rounded lengthy finish, and will continue to improve with careful cellaring.
Perfect with shellfish and other seafood, vegetarian food, white meats, salads, risotto and tasty cheeses.

Clos
(pronounced "KLOE") A fruitier aromatic wine, made with Reichensteiner, Huxelrebe and Seyval Blanc grapes. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks under cool conditions to retain the delicate aromas and flavours. Bottled relatively young, the resulting wine is fresh, fruity with honey, figs and grapefruit flower on the nose and palate. Absolutely delicious!
Perfect with seafood, vegetarian food, white meats, salads, pasta dishes or pizza, and will accompany Oriental and spicy foods.
